Not much has been going on at our household as of late. Chip has been staying extremely busy with work and I have been staying busy with work and Baileigh. Today we got a call from daycare and guess what...FEVER! So, we have been at home this afternoon and will be heading to the doctor tomorrow morning.
She is cutting two top teeth, so absolutely everything goes in her mouth. She is also learning to throw little fits when she is unhappy and is beginning to test "limits". I feel like all we tell her now is "no, no". She actually LOVES to pull on any kind of cord she can find so after moving her and telling her "no" about 20 times the other day Chip spanked her hand...and she just looked up at him with those big eyes...and LAUGHED! I had to walk into the other room because it was so funny. But she is finally starting to understand what "no" means. And she is beginning to pull up and stand up now. I have a felling she will be walking before soon - God help us all!
UPDATE:
Turns out that we aren't really sure what is wrong with Baileigh. The doctor says her ears don't look infected but her throat was really red. The strep test came back negative, so that ruled that out. We were given some antibiotic "just in case" there was a bacterial infection since her throat and tonsils were so irritated. The doctor says that is a possibility or it may just be a "fever virus". She did weigh at the doc today and weighed 18 lbs., 3 oz. (40th percentile) and 27 inches (50th percentile). And, did I mention she HATES having the doctors look in her ears. She throws the worst screaming fits whenever they try to look...not sure why, but she does. So we are parked at home until the fever goes away.
