Where does the weekend go?

A Dog's Life...
Baileigh loves to lay on daddy
She loves to play in the floor
Baileigh with Uncle Justin...they rock the same hair!
Loving the exersaucer!
This past week/weekend was a busy one. Chip began 2 new jobs and of course I had a busy week at work too. On Thursday, Baileigh had to go to the doctor for her 6 month checkup. Dr. Joe said she was doing great! She weighed 15 lb.s, 3 oz. and was 26 inches long. She had to get three shots - yuck! She cried for just a minute and then she was fine...slept all the way home. Then she and I made the "Wal-Mart Trip". Wal-Mart and I have a love/hate relationship - I love the prices...but gosh, I hate that store. I would almost rather sit and listen to fingernails on a chalkboard for an hour rather than to go there. But, anyway, we went. Got a month's worth of babyfood, diapers, wipes, housecleaners, etc. And how is it, that no matter what you get at Wal-Mart you can never escape without spending $100 dollars, or close to it? It's perplexing. Then we went and picked up Justin (my little brother) and Samantha's house warming gift and Catherine's (my neice) birthday present. Pulled out my "list of things to do" and started checking things off...it gives me such a warm and fuzzy feeling to check things off my list!

Chip worked over the weekend and on Saturday morning Baileigh stayed with Nana & Poppa so Mommy could go see Missy to ger her "hair did". It was SO nice...I got my Starbucks and sat in the hair salon, read my Southern Living, made the menu for the week, and made up our grocery list - and did it all without somebody "needing" me! Missy did my hair (and it looks and feels so much better). You know, people really underestimate the value of a good stylist...Missy is the best!

Then, Chip got off work earlier than expected so Baileigh went back to Nana & Poppa's (thank God for grandparents) and stayed while we went out.

Then of course, we had to clean house, changes sheets, laundry, make bottles, grocery shop, cook a couple of meals so we don't starve during the week, bathe Baileigh, balance the checkbook, pay bills, upload photos and update the blog, and do some work that I brought home!

Well, everything (well, almost everything) got checked off the list and that makes me happy. And as everyone knows, "Ain't nobody happy, if Mom's not happy"!

It sounds like you've had quite a busy weekend like us. Are you guys going up to the lake for the 4th?

I am exhausted just reading about your weekend! :) Baileigh is so precious. She just looks more and more like her Daddy everyday, but I do see some of her Mommy in her too. She is such a cutie pie!
