What A Long, Strange Day...

Thursday was a really long, strange day. To tell the story I have to go back to Wednesday night. On Wednesday evening, Baileigh began to get a little cranky, which is not typical for her. So I figured she was tired. However, at about 8:00 she began to cry, let me rephrase that, she began to wail at the top of her lungs and nothing we did would calm her down. We tried everything: a bath, bottle, mylicon, walking, tylenol, playing, teething tablets, and finally I took her outside at which point she began to calm to just a cry. At 10:30 I brought her inside and noticed that she was pulling on my shirt and chewing on it and then she would begin to cry even more. So, I finally chalked it up to teething. I rubbed her gums with Orajel (which she hates) and after about 10 minutes she was out.

On Thursday, when she woke up she was completely fine!

On Thursday evening, when I came home I found Chip cooking dinner. Okay, now usually dinner around our house goes like this - Me: "Honey what do you want for dinner?" Chip: "I don't care"; Me: "Okay we are having X"; Chip: "Um, no I don't want THAT"...at which point I have to come up with something else and cook it. Now don't get me wrong, Chip is a highly domesticated animal (as far as guys go) and he does his share around the house...however, dinner is not included in his share! So, he is cooking dinner (and the best part was, i didn't even have to come up with what we were going to eat - I love not having to think) and I get in the floor to play with Baileigh at which point she acts like she is going to crawl. Well, crawl she did - right over to the cord to the cell phone charger! So, I have included a video for ya'll to see. Then as if my day wasn't good enough, she says dada. Then we play pattycake and when I say pattycake, she begins to clap on her own! And here is the kicker...after dinner, I was holding her and Chip was cleaning up (oh, that's still not the best part) and she CLEARLY says "mama" (she's a freaking genious...okay yes, I know I am biased). Chip heard it, eventhough he promptly looks at me and says "she doesn't know what she is saying" (well, it was almost a PERFECT day). Can you believe it? I couldn't either...somebody better pinch me 'cause I think I'm dreaming.

What a day, what a day!

Hey girl! You will never guess, but I bought that swimsuit off EBAY! I'm telling you that is really about the only place I get Raylin's clothes!

Oh my! I didn't even know you had a blog. Baileigh is too cute. Having a baby changes everything, doesn't it? But it's wonderful!!!
Take care.
