Who needs a chair?

Baileigh has been as active as ever lately. She is into everything she can get her hands on!

She loves to get into cabinets, so we put these lock things on them to prevent her from getting into them and I PROMISE you that one night I sat in the floor on the verge of tears because I worked for 30 minutes trying to get the lock undone to no avail. I finally got the darn thing open (with Chip's help) - but wow, what a hassle!

There is one cabinet we don't have a lock on, and that is the cabinet that houses her sippy cups and her snacks (fondly known as "nums" to Baileigh). The other day she went into the kitchen and I just knew she was getting into her snack cabinet. I had moved her out of there at least 30 times in a period of an hour so this time, I just waited (as I knew there was nothing in there that could harm her). To my surprise, she pulled out her bag of "nums" sat them on the floor, shut the cabinet door, picked up her bag and walked them over to me and handed them over and said "num num"! Now, when she gets ready for a snack she goes to her cabinet picks out what she wants, shuts the door back and brings them to you. Smart girl!

I also think she is cutting more teeth, as this weekend was a trying one. She would be completely fine one minute, playing with her toys, and the next she was in a full-on fit! This has been going on for about 5 days now. She goes from grinning to grumpy in a matter of seconds - and for seemingly no reason at all. And she has been very clingy - but when you pick her up she doesn't want to be held (so for all you other moms out there who have been through this am I on the right track thinking she is teething?!) . God bless her daycare teachers today! :)

As you can see below, I snapped a few shots (I haven't been as good about taking her picture as I should be). In one you can see she has robbed the clothes basket yet again of her beloved socks. In another you can see she has found the "popcorn pusher" (many thanks to Aunt Laura for that lovely little number). And lastly, you can see that for some odd reason, the girl still loves to climb into her toy bins. I have no idea why she does this as it can't be comfortable. We are looking into purchasing her a "child-sized" chair...I can't have her climbing into baskets the rest of her life!

I hate those durn locks on the cabinets, and the gates at the top/bottom of the stairs...those always give me a hard time too. I feel your pain!
