Funny thing...

As you all know, Baileigh keeps us highly entertained these days. The other day, she was playing in the Living Room. She was being so good too! She walked around babbling some nonsense and then went to her toy shelf. Whe she got there, she looked over at me, squatted down, and then...well (again to my horror), I heard a noise come from her that just didn't sound like it should come from such a sweet little girl. She then got the biggest grin on her face, grabbed her diaper, and said "uh-oh!" Uh-oh was right...and mommy got the pleasure of cleaning up the "uh-oh"!

Some of the other wonderful (and not so wonderful) things Baileigh does these days:
She says: baby, Ba-we (for Baileigh), pee-pee (for puppy...we're working on it), bye-bye, ball, do-do (for no), dah (for yes), dandy (for candy), eat, nose (pronounced no-zzzz). She will also tell you the sounds that the following animals make: lion, cow, doggy, bee.

The girl also likes to eat toilet paper (c'mon, give me more credit than that...it is fresh toilet paper). I have tried to explain to her that is gross...but she seems to love it. I have a fear that she is going to be "that" kid in kindergarten who eats the glue. Oh, geez!

She loves to play with Smokey these days too. He is warming up to the idea of playing with her. She will play chase with him and just laughs hysterically when he runs around with her.

She has also taken to climbing. She has attempted several times to climb out of her crib...guess it's getting to be time to go to a "big girl" bed. She has also learned to climb up on the couch and chair. It is a constant battle of wills to get her to sit on furniture and not stand on it. She got in trouble for this the other day and after being reprimanded, and told no about 15 times, she got spanked. Well, apparently she thinks that if she runs and jumps in Smokey's bed she is protected from getting in trouble...I am waiting for her to yell "Ollie, Ollie, Oxen Free" like his bed is home base or something. She ran from Chip after getting in trouble and jumped in Smokey's bed and when Chip got to her, she looked up at him and just smiled. It was all we could do not to crack up - I had to walk into the other room to muffle my laughter.

She is definitely a handful, but is so much fun!
