I haven't been very good about updating the blog lately, so I am trying to catch up!
Let's see...Baileigh is doing something new almost every day now. She is now at the point that she will mimick almost any one-syllable word and most two-syllable words that you say. She has put a few words together, like "thank you" and "yes ma'am". Although none of her words come out exactly right...for instance, outside is "side" to her and school is "s-ool" and please is "peas". As you can see below, Baileigh's hair is getting really long and full, and it's getting a little bit of curl on the ends. These pics make it look a little darker than it is in person.
She also has a new trick...she likes to stand in her crib at night and flip her light switch and fan off and on... for now, I taped down the switches but the crib is getting moved to the other side of the room! She has also figured out how to retrieve her own snacks...she will go to the pantry (which is a lazy susan in our house) will grab a box of cheerios, pull out the bag, cop a squat in the floor and proceed to eat straight from the bag! It's great to knwo she is so self-motivated but not so great to walk into the living room to find her eating out of the cereal box and sharing it with Smokey!
Baileigh has moved up another class at school and now does art projects every other day and is learning to sleep on a nap mat instead of in the crib.
She still tells us when she wants to go "nigh-nigh" (yes, we know how lucky we are) and she calls the bear she sleeps with "beer" (I can forsee that being a problem)! She loves to sing and dance too. You can see that running through the sprinkler while daddy is watering the grass is also a favorite!
Chip and I are doing well. We got the chance to go see a Coldplay concert with some old friends and it was a lot of fun - We are looking forward to the next one...U2 in Atlanta in October!

We have a vacation planned for the end of June and are looking forward to it. It will be Baileigh's first trip to the beach and I am hoping she loves the beach like her momma does! :)

So glad for an update. Her hair is getting long.. I can't wait to see some good ole ponytails. Glad ya'll are having a good summer so far!
PS--here's a hair question for you... did you ever crimp your hair? I loved a good crimping!
Wow, I can't believe how long her hair is getting. Raylin is still struggling with getting hair. Loved all the new pictures. Sounds like there is never a dull moment at your house kind of like our's!
Such cute hair...love the curls, and can't believe how long it has gotten! I am sure that Baileigh will love the beach!
